The company was founded by celebrity business manager and film writer, producer, and director- Robert Terell, recognized by industry peers as the “Official Dealmaker”. The name “700 Films” was inspired by an eye opening and extensive research study on the inequality of 700 popular films that examined the portrayals, disparity, and social injustice of race, gender, and lgbt status in top grossing films from 2007-2014 as reported by USC Annenburg and the Harnisch Foundation.
