Born and raised in New York City by a single-parent mother, Robert Terell showed an early knack for commerce. Blessed with the gift of gab, he is a natural communicator, skilled seller, and master negotiator. Robert’s career blossomed as he filled a variety of jobs in the music industry. Beginning as an intern at Calliope Studios in NYC, Robert gravitated toward the business side of entertainment. Learning from on-the-job training, he gained experience working with people like Kevin Maxwell at Tommy Boy Records, and Will Socolov, the part-owner of Sleeping Bag Records distributed by Def Jam. As the Regional Vice President of the Southeast Regional Market for Bungalo/Universal Records, Terell shifted into distribution with Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD). Major highlights from this era of his career include landing Soul for Real a multi-album deal worth 3 million dollars with Warner Brothers; renegotiating a deal for Nancy Denise with the Oxygen Network for The Bad Girls Club; and managing Jackie’s Boy, a Grammy-winning artist.

With a fresh and new perspective, Rob Terell is a quintessential American businessman. He currently sits at the helm of thirteen companies, nine of which are currently active, and five of which are monetized at profitable earning levels. Robert is constantly fostering new ideas and building them up into successful ventures. Serving as C.E.O. for his organizations, his impressive list of entities includes Wealth Nation, a consulting service providing its clients with advice in business, branding, and negotiation; Industry Certified, a multi-media company providing unique content to a global audience; and Artist Rewards, a revolutionary brand loyalty program and national membership network specifically designed to boost the career of independent artists. Additionally, Terell started MoguLyfe and Good Money Group as holding companies, while Musicnomics, another of Rob’s creations, developed as an online service offering solutions for financial support.

Deeply passionate about encouraging other entrepreneurs, Rob started motivational speaking in 2020 with Live Legendary. Always determined to give back to his community, he has also launched a nonprofit organization called Faith Champions. Faith Champions is a celebration of individuals who believe in themselves and are rewarded for it. There to support others on their journey, Faith Champions helps the underdog overcome their struggle. “I believe that you need Faith to make it through this life,” Rob says. “The universe rewards faith.”

Always finding ways to reward others, Terell founded the Young Billionaires Club (YBC) as an opportunity to bring together hard-working people over a common mindset to reach billionaire status. As his organizations grow, they’ve expanded outside of the music scene. Industry Certified in particular has dipped into various realms of media, including radio and television. With his production company, 700 Films, Robert has directed seven episodes for the reality TV series on the VH2 network, Industry Certified: Journey to the Deal, as well as several music videos. When directing, Terell interprets the energy of a song so that he understands the record sonically. He then works with the artist’s vision, bringing it to life on the screen. Robert Terell’s signature on all of his music videos is an opening skit to set the stage for the story being told. As he continues to serve clients in the music industry, Robert Terell launched the record label, Rocstar Music Group to help talented artists release quality tracks on a professional scale. Born and raised in the streets of New York City by a single parent mother, Robert began his career in the music business as an intern at Calliope studios in New York, NY.

As the visionary thought leader of Wealth Nation Entertainment, he has orchestrated major label distribution deals with Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD) via INgrooves Fontana, and has held several major positions in the industry throughout his career including the following: V.P. of A&R with IMG recordings, which is distributed via Warner Bros., Sony, EMI, and Universal, E.V.P. of Corporate Affairs/Strategic alliances for HYPE Magazine and THM Media.

Recently appointed by President and Vice President of Bungalo/Universal as Regional Director for South Regional Markets, Terell plans on taking the music game back to the days when artists were groomed to become stars.

As Gunplay’s (MMG/DEF JAM) Business Manager, Robert and his team was instrumental in finalizing his deal with DefJam. Robert also negotiated and secured the deal for New York rapper “COMPUTA” with eOne (formerly Koch) and partnered with Def Jef to get his record placement with BET on the new Wayans Bros. Show “Next Generation Wayans,” which aired in 2013.

But among endless tasks of responsibilities, Terrell’s most recognizable accomplishment is showing his loyalty to his artists, and collectively, to what’s real; a trait possessed among the truest individuals and which has become the very essence of his success.
